Express Service !

Came across four small & big accidents on Mumbai-Pune expressway. It was raining and there was chaos, pain & anger. Some of them were waiting for the ambulance to come.

And where was the ambulance ? Here.

OMG!!!!! First of all we have a very few numbers of Ambulances, and if this happens god save the victims….

You know, I’ve had to travel to Pune, and chose to hire a “Jeep-wallah” from Vashi.

The signs on the road clearly specify maximum speed not to be exceeded at 60 kmph. These guys rev up to 80, sometimes even 100 kmphs!

Bus drivers are even worse. x-(
The way they maneuver their vehicles through narrow situations! No wonder this expressway has a high fatality rate.

    And people blame the government.

    Raghu,
It seems everybody is in a hurry.

    Alok M,
Oh, I didn’t know of this jeep service. :)

And sign-boards ? Ah very conveniently we all become illiterates.

Govt can not do everything, it can only provide infrastructure. How can people blame govt. for lack of their common sense ? Utter nonsense !

Oooops ! that’s really bad … looking at the photo, I was wondering whether some way we can help these poor drivers to identify the road properly or will throw them into a sea, to let them enjoy “their virtual beakless driving”.

Ahh!!! thats disappointing. The day it started raining in Mumbai, I had seen 4 accidents on the Eastern Express highway. 2 happened right in front of me and were absolutely miserable. Dont think anyone would have survived.

Its poor state of infrastructure followed by badly maintained vehicles and irresponsible drivers… all mixed together make a perfect receipe for a good accident.

And when we have roads like the Mumbai Pune expressway, people take everything for granted. But we surely need more ambulance on the expressway… I agree to that.

    nice one..
ambulance should have priority. in other countries, when you hear an ambulance siren, all cars are supposed to get off the road and park. even in traffic lights, if you have a green and hear an ambulance coming, you have to stop and let the ambulance coming from red light to go through.

wish the drivers in india follow some of these rules
