हो जैसे .. ..

Hinglish Version
kal, wo tha jab teri yaad ko aansuoN me bahaya ho jaise
mera tujh par se yakeen dagmugaya ho jaise
aaj ye hai jab dheeme se kisi ne gudgudaya ho jaise
madmast neend se usi ne jagaaya ho jaise
meri alsaai angdaai dekh aaina muskuraya ho jaise
jhaankta sooraj bhi chhedne ko lalchaaya ho jaise
aankhoN ne pyaar ka koi jaam chalkaya ho jaise
us nashe me tera bhi man ladkhadaya ho jaise
mehkte rome-rome mein tu he tu samaya ho jaise
is khoobsurat lamhe ko jeene tu bhi sapnaya ho jaise
lagta hai ab to saara jag paraya ho jaise
sabra kar, raat bas aane ko hai, dil ko samjhaya ho jaise

Abhishek,
You need to be careful about your language on this blog and no personal attack please. I have deleted your second sentence.

Good one, Cuckoo! btw, haven’t seen Ghazals from you earlier! Very nice one this… ‘jhaankta sooraj bhi chhedne ko lalchaaya ho jaise!’…Kya baat hai!

Please, please translate this into english…I have a feeling it’s going to be a beautiful poem. I tried following the Hinglish version but my hindi is really pathetic and I dont recognize a lot of the words…all the dagmugaya and alsaai went over the top of my head and I cant make any sense out of it…LOL…but the few sentences I understood sounded beautiful. I hope you’ll do an english version of this.

Vishvesh,
Aha !! After a very long time I see you here.
Thank you. Oh, it depends on my mood what comes out at that moment.
And this time it was so instant that I directly published the lines.
Could you help getting this translated ? I always have some non-Hindi or non-Indian readers to cater to.

Vagabond,
Well, I leave open to my readers for this translation because I do not have time to even look at the proper words ! Though translations are never the same, let me see if anyone comes forward to do the honours.

I am regular to your blog, just that don’t comment so often…
Regarding Translation, I am terrible at that…It’s a very responsible job and is way beyond my comprehension! hate to say no Cuckoo, but please excuse me…

Vishvesh,
I am aware of this habit of yours.
Translation is always very difficult and never brings out the actual emotions as in original work.
Ankur,
धन्यवाद् |
