Why do you watch porn ?
Ok, not you but why people watch porn ? Should they or should they not ?
Advantages –
It’s free
Physically harmless from any diseases
Saves relationships
Teaches people who don’t know anything
Relieves sexual frustrations
For some, it’s a way of earning money
Disadvantages –
Breaks relationships
Amounts to adultery
Distracts from daily life
Person can’t concentrate on anything
Becomes an addiction

Because it’s human nature. Men are hardwired to it. Why do people like good music or the taste of good food? It pleases the senses.
Coming to disadvantages -
Distracts from daily life - is good music or good food distracting too?
Person can’t concentrate on anything - You said it ‘relieves frustration’. So, who is going to not be able to concentrate on anything? those with some frustration or those without?
Becomes an addiction - Not necessarily and not for all.
Breaks relationships - Not if both of them are into it. hehe
Amounts to adultery - So?

Adv: You can look at all sorts of females - American, Blonde, Hispanic, Chinki, Indian…..anyone you fantasise and probably even doing what you always wish to see/do but could not try it with your wife/partner.
Disadv: Sometimes it raises the expectation from your sexual partner. You may be having a perfectly normal and healthy sex life but you see a lot of things which might not be agreeable to the other party. You tend to think that your sex life is suffering. Enter discontent !!
All said any non-violent habit is ok in moderation. It is when you over-do it that it becomes a problem

I do not fully agree with Padmanabhan. It is not like good food or music which we can have in good amt and in front of others but not a porn.
I agree with what S said above. We get to see more variety which we cannot imagine or can only fascinate about.
It relieves sexual frustrations but it is also addiction of some type. I am not against watching it since benefits are more than harms. I wonder if some doctors recommend to watch porn.
But one question arises from it. why ppl hesitate to accept that they watch it? It is healthy and beneficial.

Advantages:
Even for people who act, and sell/rent, and make money by supplying porn, the logic is flawed. For some, begging and prostitution is also a form of earning money. Whether we can call that an advantage is debatable.
It’s NOT free. The free form is pirated, very much like other (non-porn) movies you download off the internet.
Saves Relationships? How? And which relationships are we talking about?
For some, it is a way of earning money? If I were paid to watch porn, I would love to switch jobs
Disadvantages:
Breaks relationships? How can that be possible by watching porn?
Adultery? Again, how? Ok you can get influenced by watching ‘adulterous’ porn, but there are far more non-porn movies that depict adultery.
Distracts from daily life? Not at all. In fact, lets you concentrate harder because you are relieved sexually.
Can’t concentrate on anything? The above point.
If you ask me, I would list the following:
Advantages:
Relieves sexual frustrations (I don’t call it frustration, but yes, safe means of sexual (self) gratification is the best advantage).
A good turn-on for partners if they watch together.
Teaches people (a bit, most of it is fiction).
Disadvantages:
Raises expectations from your partner.
Becomes an addiction.
Waste of time at times (mostly if it gets addictive as above).

Well, porn might please the senses but I don’t think it is like good music or good food. Here I would go with A’s statement.
But I agree with you on “Breaks relationships - Not if both of them are into it.”.
About being not able to concentrate is related to being addicted.

As per some data (I don’t have a link now), female % is at around 23. i.e. 23% of females (in age group 16 to 35) are involved in porn in one way or the other.

There are thousands of men who would have visited prostitutes/call girls or indulged in such related activities (even if it is for the sake of ’seeing’ something ‘different’ from routine or for curiosity), had this porn not available to them. And here we are not talking about the legality of these professions. In most countries none of them are legal but it happens everywhere and sadly but truly is one of the means to earn money.
Breaks relationships? How can that be possible by watching porn?… Again, I think you are unaware of the fact that so many divorces have been registered (in India it’s far too little) and granted because the man (or woman) is so much indulged in it that it amounts to adultery.

Watching porn is not exclusively a man’s domain; many women watch it too. Cuckoo, you probably do too!
And there’s nothing wrong with it and nothing to be ashamed about. Although I don’t know of a single woman who will admit to watching porn.
I don’t see how porn can be equated to adultery, which means “sex outside of marriage”? There’s no real sex in porn.
