Ok,I am a bit lethargic to post photos on regular basis and I suddenly realized it is time to post something on this month’s topic. So, here is my contribution.
Sunrise and Sunsets never fail to intrigue me. Irrespective of the place, these two events of the day will always remain my favourites.
This is an early morning at Marine Drive. It takes around an hour’s train journey from my place to reach this end and it was almost impossible for me to make it on time. I wanted to capture this very moment with first golden sun rays falling on the tranquil sea water. You can see it was still dark otherwise.
The photo might not be good but the effort of going there was.
Heyy, this shows I am not lazy !!
Now, the stage is all yours ! The entries are awaited.

Unfortunately at present we don’t have any provisions for non-bloggers to participate. But this gives us an idea how much people are interested. Maybe in future we’ll do something to include non-bloggers as well.

Alok’s blog pointed me here to this contest… I got a pic of a sunset that I took recently along the coast of italy. I dont know if this qualifies for the competition as this is not a picture from India, nevertheless, the sea, the hills and the setting sun are just as beautiful anywhere.

I am glad that you want to participate in the contest. There is small confusion here. Alok had initially misunderstood the topic as one of sunrise/sunset but the topic is exclusively “Sunrise” and NOT sunset.
Later on he posted one sunrise photo also. You can read all the comments here as well as on his blog related to the confusion.
I have told this to other participants as well.
Nevertheless, you still have 3 days time, get up early one morning and capture the shot. The contest is open till midnight IST 20th July. The topic is important, place doesn’t matter.

The sunset photo that I posted earlier was shot in the coastal village of Riomaggiore (The Cinque Terre).
Anyways, this is a sunrise shot that I took in Innsbruck austria… Sunrise from behind the alps…

Nice shot. I feel your hardwork really paid off. Actually i too like morning sunrises but i am always late to see them
