Point & Shoot - तस्वीरे मेरी नज़र से

Taken in natural light, a statue of Shiva and Parvati in Elephanta caves.. a major tourist attraction in Mumbai. The caves are not illuminated, only natural light comes in some parts of the caves.

All the sculptures are damaged, full of pigeon’s shit and maintenance is almost nil conveying us that we do not care or respect for the art, thoughts, time and hard work that went to create such masterpieces.

It’s result time !!!

People were wary to participate this time. Probably they found the word difficult.  Difficult ?? Ha ! No. In fact, it was a tough call deciding the winner in spite of very few entries. And the winner is Alok’s choco-smiles.

Seen, unseen treasures… Sometimes treasures can be felt too.
As humans we look at things differently and treasure them differently in a kind of private art gallery.

Ok, this time I am posting something which is quite different from typical definition of a treasure.

We, seventeen of us consisting of four generations, were on a big family vacation. The youngest, not even three, had plucked these flowers and presented to the oldest member. Extremely overwhelmed by this gesture, she treasured it throughout the day and much more. Getting in/out of the car, climbing up the Tonga, eating, boating, walking.. every step she needed help.. .. but nothing could deter her from treasuring this in her wrinkled hand.
